Science Awareness Exhibition

Science education is an important part of learning in our life. One cannot expect their life without science and technology revolving around them. Science and technology are extremely important in our daily life because they made our life simpler, faster and more secure. Almost everything that we see around us is the gift of science and technology. Science and technology have made a remarkable contribution in the field of education. Technology has made education itself easier.

The National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) aims to encourage scientific and technological temperament throughout the country and to coordinate and organize such efforts so that science and technology can be reached to the masses thereby promoting scientific thinking. To fulfill the same objective of NCSTC a Science Awareness Exhibition was organized by Aadhar Nirman Foundation to expand Science & Technology among people.

Objective of the Science Fair

To generate & popularize, science awareness among general public.
To promote science: as an interesting carrier among rural students.
To identify the hidden science talent among rural students and nurture their scientific skill for future.
To develop a competitive spirit among students.
To encourage the students to make model highlighting and coloring general public.

Scientific activities have a remarkable impact on society. Knowing Science through doing is the best way of understanding science for popularizing science. One of the most important advantages of science exhibition is that they attract the people who might not attend an educational. Meeting’s but through folk mass media, they unintentionally learn the application of science in day to day life. Rural folk has many talented students. But in lack of resources and opportunities this scientific talent life is waste in the lap of villages. So this science exhibition provides a golden opportunity for the talented students to promote this scientific thinking and talent. The session during exhibition – “Science – magic fun” definitely help the villagers, to overcome superstitions” and so called religious chamatkar beliefs. Health awareness & Disaster management session has help them to know about health maintains & how to save during disaster. This “Science Fair” helps the students in designing their career by taking part in scientific activities. The “hidden talent” is promoted easily through this programme. It seems to be a golden opportunity for the rural Other students about scientific awareness.

Science awareness exhibition was proved a boon for rural communities. As science is observed in every walk of life. Science has made everything possible. Even this impossible looks possible if seen through science.

About 80% of the population lives in remote villages could not get proper resources and most of them live under poverty line. Hidden science talent in rural area, lies wasted in lack of proper awareness, resources and opportunities. This science Fair was provided them with golden opportunity of knowing science. This form of entertainment involved as grass root expressions of the values of life styles. People values as well as information Folk form of communication can use familiar dialects for the most intimate and local communication at village level.

This Science Fair includes students from school, colleges and rural other people provide them with an opportunity to express their new scientific ideas into models & communication conducting poster making competition & Science quiz promote awareness about knowledge of science. Science dramas, science movie sessions, the students to think scientifically and motivate them for adopting science as carrier also develop competitive spirit among students for bright future in science.

Robotics – An advanced branch of electronics was introduced & students are inspired to make their own robots using basics of electronics. Information about ambitions of scientist inspires the students to think scenically and motivate to take interest in science with new ideas.

Science awareness through folk communication puppetry attracts the general public towards the science. Aadhar Nirman Foundation working for popularization of technology in students for a long time.

The Science awareness exhibition is intended for different under privileged school students, Other community, collage students, teachers’ professional folk media groups, and science communicator. The science Fair was included other community and rural students from Allahabad District of Uttar Pradesh. Superstition like Snake bite, bangle branding prevail in the rural areas of Prayagraj District. ANF has created mass scientific awareness through science drama to eradicate superstition to the students and rural community.
